HollowII

My favourite book in childhood, The Secret Garden, shaped my early understanding that people experience and express positive feelings in different ways. Yet, I have always felt that nature possesses a unique capacity to evoke joy across a wide range of individuals. A tree, a flower, or even a subtle fragrance can offer a sense of quiet and unmediated pleasure.

During outdoor activities, natural elements such as mushrooms, pine cones, and stones often become sources of inspiration for my painting practice, particularly in shaping colour schemes and material sensibilities. These encounters with nature inform not only my visual choices but also my sensitivity to atmosphere, texture, and affect within the work.
